Pharmfactor Sp. z o.o. joins the partners of LifeScience Kraków Cluster
Cooperation and concentration of scientific potential is necessary for creating and implementing innovations. Following this thought, the company Pharmfactor Sp. z o.o. has requested to join the partners of the LifeScience Kraków Cluster. The candidacy, supported by recommendations of the Jagiellonian University and University Hospital in Cracow was accepted on February 9th 2021.
Partnership with the LifeScience Kraków Cluster brings a wide array of benefits: it facilitates easier access to highly qualified specialists in the life science fields, opens up a possibilities for conducting clinical trials in well equipped, specialised hospitals as well as allows for better understanding of the needs of the biotechnological market. Pharmfactor, being the manufacturer of the active pharmaceutical ingredient of the drug TFX (Thymostimulinum), is closely cooperating in this field with, among others, Prof. Dr. Aleksander Skotnicki, a haematologist, internal medicine specialist of the 2nd degree from the Haematology Department of Collegium Medicum of Jagiellonian University. Joining the Cluster creates a new platform and perspectives for cooperation.
LifeScience Kraków Cluster was created in 2006 as a joint project of 32 institutions representing business, scientific and healthcare environments brought together by a vision of creating a framework beneficial for developing innovations through effective consolidation of dispersed potential of specialists, entrepreneurships, higher education institutions, research facilities and supported by financial institutions as well as local and regional governments.
Since 2016, LifeScience Kraków Cluster boasts the status of a National Key Cluster. Clusters awarded this status are recognized as groups of significant importance for the national economy and international competitiveness. Key clusters are characterised by exceptional resources on a national scale, including but not limited to: human, infrastructural and financial resources and high economic potential.
